Extension springs

We design and manufacture cylindrical helical extension springs in round wire, with diameters starting from 0.10 mm and always according to the customer’s drawing, specifications, and/or sample.
We use not only specific materials compliant with UNI EN 10270-1, UNI EN 10270-2, and UNI EN 10270-3 standards, but also special materials with specific mechanical properties and high-performance alloys.
We manufacture extension springs both compliant with UNI EN 13906-2 and according to customer specifications, with various types of loops and inserted elements, right- or left-handed winding, and subjected to stabilization heat treatment, shot peening, surface protection treatments, passivation, and other specific treatments requested.

Technical definition

Extension springs are usually made of circular wire, wound helically around an axis, with or without contact between the coils, which responds to an axial force that tends to extend the length of the spring, with or without initial tension. The tension spring, ideally considered as a rigid body, is generally subjected to a tensile load acting along its axis.
